What we know as bulletproof glass isn’t 100% bulletproof. The glass is actually made of bullet resistant thermoplastic, sometimes laminated in layers that include traditional tempered glass.
Heartland Glass is proud to partner with companies, cities and service centers that require additional safety measures such as bullet-resistant or ballistics glass.
There are actually eight different levels of resistance with bullet-resistant glass. Those levels are designated by the Underwriter’s Laboratory to determine the type of protection each level offers. UL conducts extensive tests on bullet-resistant glass, which determines what kinds of firearms each can withstand.
